Starz Entertainment signed a marketing deal with PC processor maker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to promote Vongo -- the premium network’s subscription movie and video download service -- offering consumers who purchase certain AMD products a free 30-day Vongo subscription.
The companies said the promotion is targeted at gamers, multimedia enthusiasts and students heading back to school. The offer will be available in a limited supply through Sept. 9. It’s only available to new Vongo customers.
The Vongo Internet service provides unlimited access to more than 2,500 video selections, which includes more than 1,000 movie titles, as well as a live streaming feed of Starz's TV channel. The service is ordinarily $9.99 per month.
