Comcast’s Roberts to Keynote at CES
Cable Leader to Speak in Las Vegas Jan. 8

Comcast chairman and CEO Brian Roberts will be among the keynote speakers in Las Vegas at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show in January, the Consumer Electronics Association said Tuesday.
Roberts’ keynote – the first CES keynote by a Comcast executive – is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 9 a.m.
Other scheduled CES keynoters include Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, set to deliver his traditional “preshow” address Jan. 6, as well as Panasonic AVC Networks president Toshihiro Sakamoto and Intel CEO Paul Otellini. All CES keynote addresses will take place at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino’s Palazzo Ballroom.
CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro, in a prepared statement, said: “We are thrilled to have the leader of the nation’s largest provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services join the lineup of keynote speakers at the 2008 CES. Brian Roberts has been instrumental in the growth and development of the cable and telecommunications industries, and we look forward to hearing his vision for the expansion of the home network and its impact on the content community.”
