MTV Readies ‘A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila’ Reality Show
Reality Series Features 16 Men, 16 Women, Competing for Date with MySpace Star

MTV is pushing the envelope with a new reality series that the network said will feature 32 men and women competing for a date with Tila Tequila, a bisexual woman billed as the most popular person on News Corp.’s MySpace.com social networking site.
A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila is scheduled to premiere Oct. 9, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
“To help her find true love, MTV found sixteen straight guys and sixteen lesbians to vie for her love and attention. The finalists move into her mansion, live together, and each week Tila will narrow down her suitors,” MTV said in Wednesday’s announcement. “Every episode will culminate in a dramatic ceremony unlike anything you've ever seen before.”
MTV said it will also launch a companion Web site for the show, at Tila.MTV.com. Fans will also be able to track the action and segments called “Tequila Shots” on mobile phones through MTV Mobile, the network said.
Episodes of A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila will also be sold online through Apple’s iTunes store, Amazon Unbox, Walmart Video Downloads and Bit Torrent.
495 Productions is shooting the series for MTV. Sally Ann Salsano is the executive producer, and Joel Zimmer is co-executive producer. MTV executives overseeing production are Drew Tappon, David Gross and Heather Olander.
