Report: Jury Leaning Toward Ruling Against Thomas, MSG
Decision Nears in Sexual Harassment Case Involving Knicks Coach

The jury considering whether New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas and Madison Square Garden committed sexual harassment may be leaning in favor of ruling for the plaintiff – a former Knicks executive, the Associated Press reported late Monday.
“There was no official verdict, but the wording of a note to the judge by jurors makes it clear they have reached decisions on the key points of the trial,” AP reported. “Jurors reached a decision on eight of the nine questions on the jury form; they were deadlocked on the other question, which asks whether Thomas should have to pay punitive damages.”
Former Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders, who was fired by the team in 2006, later sued Thomas and Knicks owner Madison Square Garden for $10 million. Cablevision owns Madison Square Garden, and Jim Dolan, chairman of MSG and CEO of Cablevision, also testified in the case.
AP said the judge in the case sent the jury home Monday, asking them to deliberate on a deadlocked question Tuesday.
