Weather Plans 'Epic’ Promo For Show’s Second Season
Atlanta — To promote the second season of Epic Conditions, The Weather Channel has relaunched the show’s related broadband channel with original content, interactive maps and a sweepstakes promotion that will land the winner in Alaska, Hawaii or Yosemite Valley, Calif.
The promotion will coincide with the launch of Weather Channel’s-sponsored wireless access in the lower concourse of New York’s Grand Central Terminal. Wi-fi users there will see a promotional landing page, including information about the sweepstakes. The contest can be entered once per day at www.weather.com/epic. Three winners will be selected in October and will also receive a Panasonic digital camcorder to shoot a Webisode of their prize trip for the broadband site.
