TBWA\Chiat\Day will provide marketing and advertising support for the expected launch, in 2008, of Cablevision’s expanded TV and online commerce, the companies said Wednesday.
Cablevision has already launched the interactive shopping services Optimum Homes and Optimum Autos, which allow digital cable customers to shop on TV for those products. The operator has also partnered with companies to provide branded channels for Disney Vacations, Sony Bravia, the U.S. Navy and Unilever.
Next year the operator anticipates introducing new categories of advertising for national brands and local advertisers. TBWA\Chiat\Day will provide network ad storage for that effort.
The ad agency’s other clients include Apple, McDonald’s, Pioneer, Samsonite and Sony PlayStation.
