The NBC hit series Heroes will have an off-network life in standard definition on G4 and in high-definition on MOJO.
The two cable networks negotiated a deal that will allow them to air current episodes of the sci-fi series the same week they debut on NBC, beginning the week of Oct. 29.
The deal, through NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, extends through six seasons of the series for both networks, with the entire Heroes library available in 2010.
G4 will kick off the licensing deal with a Season One marathon on Oct. 26 and 27, and a mini-marathon on Oct. 28. The channel will also create a live half-hour post-show to the new Heroes episodes which will debut Nov. 3 at 11 p.m. The time slot for the re-airings is Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on G4.
MOJO will begin the HD telecasts on Nov. 1, showing the first six episodes of season two. It will show the most recent episodes.
