Current TV Solicits Ambassadors

Network Hits College Campuses With RepNation Media

By Linda Haugsted -- Multichannel News, 10/11/2007 7:32:00 AM

Current TV, the peer-to-peer news and information network, is launching a program to solicit ambassadors for the channel on college campuses.

The brand ambassadors program, created with the support of RepNation Media, is designed to develop college-specific campaigns to build relationships with viewers there.

The cable network and Web portal will target 35 campuses during the next 10 weeks. The ambassadors will be charged with organizing events, executing guerilla public relations activities and generating a “personal interest” page at Current.com, the company’s upcoming new portal.
