Marketer Dena Kaplan is going from promoting many games, to just one: football.
The senior vice president of marketing for GSN has notified friends, via e-mail that she's leaving the games channel for a similar position at the NFL Network.
“If you heard through the grapevine that I am leaving GSN, changing my name to ‘Bubba’ and going to run marketing for the NFL Network, you should know that this is only partially true. OK well not the Bubba part,” she quipped.
Kaplan was responsible for developing some of GSN’s most notable campaigns, such as the promotion for the National Vocabulary Championships and Without Prejudice? She was named one of Multichannel News’ Wonder Women in 2004.
According to her email, she will begin her tenure with NFL Network on Oct. 15.
