Schleiff In SpotLight For Public Affairs Initiative

Hallmark Channel Leader Appears In Two PSAs Touting Network's ‘Watch With Me’ Effort

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 10/23/2007 10:12:00 AM

No stranger to the spotlight Henry Schleiff, president and CEO of Hallmark Channel parent Crown Media Holdings, will appear on a pair of spots touting the network’s “Watch With Me” public affairs initiative.

Schleiff will appear in two brief segments, beginning today, introducing two popular films You’ve Got a Friend and The Reading Room, which have been designated as Watch With Me events that are designed to encourage family viewing and having families spend more time together. You've Got a Friend is slated to air on Hallmark Channel on Oct. 23 from 9-11  p.m. (ET/PT), while The Reading Room is scheduled to encore Oct. 29 in the same time period.

The first Schleiff spots highlights that he is speaking not only in his capacity as a network executive but, even more importantly, as a parent of two teenage boys, about the need for quality programming that can be comfortably watched with family members – like the series and movies that air on Hallmark Channel.

The second Schleiff spot highlights Hallmark Channel’s strong ties to its Kansas City-based parent, Hallmark Cards, and to its own rich history of family values.

He joins such celebrities as John Schneider, Ernest Borgnine and Valerie Bertinelli in promoting the Watch With Me effort.
