Hallmark Wants To Deliver An Online ‘Note’

Online Holiday Letter Writing Initiative Ties Back To Holiday Telefilm Theme

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 11/7/2007 5:58:00 AM

Hallmark Channel wants viewers to take notice of its holiday movie The Note.

The heart-warming film, scheduled to premiere Dec. 8 at 9 p.m., centers on a letter found by a journalist and her pursuit to find its intended recipient.

The family-friendly network is driving an initiative encouraging people to write notes to friends and families via Web site, www.whatwouldyouwrite.com. Today, Hallmark Channel has also commissioned a plane pulling a banner over Manhattan waterways and parts of New Jersey and Long Island to encourage residents to visit the site and post their own personal notes throughout the holiday season.

In The Note, starring Genie Francis and Ted McGinley, a newspaper columnist find a handwritten not at the site of plane crash that has left no survivors. She then embarks on a cross-country journey to find the intended recipient of the note, the estranged father of one of the crash victims
