The Africa Channel said it struck a national affiliation agreement with Time Warner Cable.
The deal allows the network to negotiate with Time Warner systems serving more than 13 million households around the country, according to Africa Channel executive vice president of affiliate sales Eric Brown. The network offers more than 1,600 hours of original and first run English language programming from the continent, including news and information, travel, and lifestyle, music, feature films, soaps, talk, reality and special events.
“We are thrilled to have reached an agreement with Time Warner Cable,” Brown said in a statement. “We are confident that it will be a productive and celebrated relationship, as it will allow us to bring the beauty and genuine culture of Africa to many more homes across the U.S.”
