Grande Communications, a cable and phone provider that competes with traditional incumbents in Texas, signed a deal to provide college-sports network ESPNU to customers in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Midland, Odessa, San Antonio, San Marcos and Waco.
Grande, of San Marcos, Texas, has about 145,000 residential and business customers. ESPNU is in about 20 million homes nationwide.
