To demonstrate TV show fans are behind the strike by the Writers Guild, the union will deliver pencils to three network honchos Tuesday.
The scribes have been soliciting support from consumers via the Internet, asking fans to buy pencils to show support for writers. To date, more than 500,000 pencils have been ordered, according to the union. WGA members intend to deliver writing instruments to NBC CEO Jeff Zucker, followed by Robert Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Co. and Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of NBC Universal parent General Electric.
Leading the rally/delivery team will be Battlestar Galactica scribe Ronald D. Moore, Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and others.
The stunt is scheduled for 11:30 p.m. (PT), beginning in Burbank.
