Ray Remains On Food’s Menu
Host Signs Two-Year Deal For New Primetime Travel Series, ’30 Minute Meals’

Rachael Ray will remain part of the Food Network family as the Scripps Networks’ service inked a two-year extension with the cooking genre queen.
Under her new deal with Food, terms of which were not disclosed, Ray will lead a new primetime series, Rachael’s Vacations, which bows next month, and serve up 60 new installments of her daytime staple30 Minute Meals. Under her previous contract, Ray worked 80 Meals installments.
Bowing Jan. 12 at 9 p.m., Rachael’s Vacations will feature the hostess visiting distant cities and countries, and enjoying foods, cultures and lifestyles. Pubs in Dublin and markets in Bordeaux, to a fairy tale carriage ride in Lisbon and a marathon of tapas in Barcelona will all be on display,
“Rachael is the quintessential example of the homegrown stars we create at Food Network,” said Food president Brooke Johnson in a statement. “She has been with us since 2001 and we have built a strong partnership that will continue for years to come and bring more new and exciting projects.”
Ray has expanded her realm in recent years, hosting a syndicated daytime talk show, and lording over lifestyle magazines and products. She’s also in heavy rotation as a pitch person for Dunkin’ Donuts.
