A lot of people were feeling the season finale of I Love New York 2.
The dating competition show, in which Tiffany “New York” Pollard let Tailor Made steal her heart, attracted some 5.4 million viewers during its Dec. 17 premiere, according to live, plus same-day data from Nielsen Media Research. That marked a 23% gain over the I Love New York finale, according to network executives.
The show also played big among adults 18 to 49, drawing 3.6 million of those viewers to trail only ESPN’s Monday Night Football with that key demo that night. The installment, in which Pollard and her final two suitors, Tailor Made and Buddha, traveled to Jamaica, was the tops for the show this season among Madison Avenue’s most-coveted demo group, and beat its predecessor’s season concluder by 26% with that set.
I Love New York 2 ranks as VH1’s third best show among adults 18 to 49, behind only Flavor of Love 2 and its progenitor, according to network officials.
A reunion special is scheduled for Jan. 6 at 9 p.m.
