Fishing-Hunting Net Launches On Systems Owned By Comcast, Time Warner, Cox And Charter

The Sportsman Channel received some holiday cheer on the distribution front, launching on a number of systems owned by Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications and Charter Communications.
Comcast added the fishing and hunting proponent -- which counts some 15 million subscribers on a full- and part-time basis -- to its systems in Michigan, Elkton, Md., Huntington, W.Va. and Indianapolis, according to the service.
Time Warner Cable’s National Division rolled out the channel in Keene, N.H., Richlands, Va. and Ashland, Ky.
With Cox, more Sportsman launches came on Florida's Gulf Coast in Pensacola, Destin, Freeport, Walton, Niceville and Crestview.
As for Charter, Sportsman gained access on systems in Alabama, Louisiana, Michigan, Reno, Nev. and North Platte, Neb
“We’ve had a prosperous year and are pleased to end it with a number of launches,” said Sportsman vice president of affiliate relations Mark Kang in a statement. “We are looking forward to continued success and growth for 2008.”
