By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News, 1/3/2008 7:18:00 AM

Verizon is now selling FiOS TV to residents of the 1,800-household town of Rowley, Mass., where it will fight for customers with Comcast.

The telco won a franchise from the town last month. Rowley is the 61st Massachussetts community where Verizon offers FiOS TV. Statewide, the service is available more than 400,000 Massachusetts households.
