Time Warner Cable has launched a Web site that lets customers browse through video-on-demand titles, and lists titles in some categories that are most popular in that Zip code.
The site, www.twondemand.com, also lets customers sign up for digital cable or add a premium channel or view trailers. Among the movie listings are high-definition movies. VOD offerings are broken down by category and listings are accompanied by movie-poster art.
Customers also can enter contests on the site and sign up for a monthly email newsletter about on-demand programming.
A view of the site Monday morning, from a New York City Zip code, showed the top pay movie was Mr. Woodcock; the top premium on-demand title were the movie Norbit and Sunday’s episode of The Wire from HBO On Demand (the top 10 premium titles were all from HBO On Demand) and the top free VOD title was a music video, With U by Chris Brown, from Music Choice On Demand. (The top six titles in the free VOD area were from Music Choice’s Urban & Latin VOD channel.)
