McCain, Fox News Gain With GOP Florida Primary
FNC Tops Cable News Sector With 2.5 Million Viewers

Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) wasn’t the only winner at the Republican primary in Florida Tuesday.
Fox News Channel took the Nielsen honors among cable news networks with its GOP coverage, averaging 2.51 million viewers in primetime on Jan.29, according to Nielsen Media Research live + same-day data. Included in that total were 717,000 of the so-called news demo, adults 25 to 54.
CNN was second with 1.88 million viewers on average from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. that night, tallying 639,000 of the aforementioned demo group.
MSNBC counted 1.26 million total viewers and 551,000 adults 25 to 54, respectively.
