The Writers Guild of America has signed two more deals, reaching interim agreements with The Film Department and Intermedia Film, according to the Associated Press.
No details were released when the announcement was made Jan. 31.
The news follows the guild’s Jan. 30 interim agreement with Overture Films, a Starz unit and part of John Malone’s Liberty Media empire.
The WGA has also scored temporary accords with such independents as United Artists, RKO Productions and Marvel.
The guild continues to talk with bosses of the major studio group to try and bridge matters over compensation for their work and its distribution over new media platforms.
