Bright House Networks has named Mike Robertson president of its Tampa Bay division.

Bright House Networks Tampa Bay division president Mike RobertsonRobertson succeeds Kevin Hyman, the cable company’s executive vice president of operations, in the role of leading the Tampa cluster, Bright House’s largest unit with more than 1 million subscribers.

A cable-veteran with 29 years of experience, Robertson has been with Bright House since 2003. “Mike exemplifies the visionary leadership necessary in today’s highly competitive marketplace,” said Hyman in a statement. “He has a keen sense of “people management” and the superior ability to navigate in tumultuous waters. His blended background of both finance and operations make him the perfect choice to run BHN’s largest division.”

Robertson began his career with positions at American Television & Communications, Time Warner Cable and Paragon, before joining Bright House five years ago

Robertson has been involved in the Tampa Bay-area community, serving on the board of directors for Junior Achievement and Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
