Cablevision Bolsters Business Phone Service
Operator Now Offering 12 Lines To Small, Medium-Sized Businesses

Looking to butress its position in the business segment, Cablevision Systems Corp. is now offering small and medium-sized commercial customers across its entire service area up to a dozen lines of its Optimum Voice phone service.
Each line features flat-rate, unlimited local and long-distance calling and advanced calling features like caller ID, call waiting and enhanced voicemail, at no additional charge.
“Cablevision is pleased to offer the hundreds of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses passed by our fiber optic network the option of up to 12 lines of the market’s best phone service – Optimum Voice,” said Cablevision vice president for digital voice and small business product marketing Joseph Varello in a statement. “With unlimited calling, advanced features and an unbeatable flat-rate value price, Optimum Voice is the phone service of choice for an expanding array of area businesses.”
This enhancement of Optimum Voice for Business continues the expansion of the New York metro area operator’s business class services, which also includes Optimum Online and Optimum Online Boost with Static IP Internet addresses.
Optimum Online Boost with Static IP offers speeds of up to 30 megabits-per-second downstream and up to 5 Mbps upstream and is a key component of Internet connectivity for many businesses, because it makes it possible to host applications and services that can be accessed from remote locations – notably e-mail servers or e-commerce capabilities -- through the same customer-specific IP address.
In addition to the speed, Optimum Online Boost provides users with a suite of advanced features and Internet configurations needed to build and maintain a commercial Web site, domain name registration, up to 15 personalized e-mail addresses, expanded e-mail storage, among others.
The Optimum Double Play for Business includes Optimum Online and Optimum Voice, each for $29.95 per month for one year. Optimum Online Boost with static IP is available for an additional $24.90 per month. For customers with four or more lines each additional Optimum Voice for Business line is available for $29.95 per line.
