MTV Fashions More Hype For ‘The Hills’ Premiere

Contest Gives Fans A Chance To Design Virtual Outfits For Hit Show’s Stars

MTV Wednesday announced a new contest to drum up even more interest for its hit series The Hills, giving fans an opportunity to design clothing outfits for Lauren, Audrina, Heidi and Whitney—the young starlets who live out the show’s soap opera-like storylines.

Throughout The Hills upcoming season, which premieres Monday, March 24, 20 “fashion savvy designers” will be selected by MTV to present their “hottest virtual clothing looks” directly to the show’s stars, according to a statement released by the network.

All four cast members will eventually pick and model their favorite outfits from five of the 20 selected designers. Each of the winning designs will be featured in the Virtual Hills clothing store.

Fans who don’t know the difference between an A-Line skirt and a Model A sedan can participate on the marketing side by staging innovative fashion shows or judging best-dressed contests in support of their favorite designer or cast member.

The Hills’ Season 3 finale in December garnered more than 4.7 million viewers, according to Nielsen, making it the network’s highest-rated series.
