CBS College Sports Tips First-Round Game

Service Presents St. Joe’s-Oklahoma Out-Of-Market Coverage

By Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 3/21/2008 6:30:00 AM

CBS College Sports Network will present out-of-market coverage of the first-round match-up between Saint Joseph’s and Oklahoma as the highlight of its second day of coverage of the NCAA Division 1 men’s basketball tournament.

The East region contest between sixth-seeded Sooners and 11th-seeded Hawks is scheduled to tip off at 7:10 p.m. (ET). CBS’s production of the game, replete with game announcers and graphics package, will be available on CBS College Sports to markets not receiving the contest's feed from Black Rock.

Yesterday, the network, formerly known as CSTV, provided the out-of-market coverage of Stanford’s rout of Cornell in the South region.

The network is also working with CBS and the NCAA to deliver the "NCAA March Madness Highlights" video-on-demand package to a host of distributors.

The St. Joe’s Oklahoma game aside, College Sports Network today is airing NCAA March Madness Central Powered by Pontiac G8, from noon to midnight, bringing viewers tournament action, including exclusive in-progress game highlights, live look-ins, press conferences from every team at every site and analysis from Greg Anthony (former NBAer, UNLV star and ESPN NBA analyst), Drexel coach Bruiser Flint, Hofstra coach Tom Pecora, IUPUI coach Ron Hunter and CBS College Sports Network’s Steve Lappas. Greg Amsinger and Adam Zucker serve as anchors.

Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton will be a guest analyst during the network’s tournament coverage this weekend.
