A home eco-renovation, a cross-country journey through Australia and the exploits of an unruly pack of monkeys are the subjects several new original programs set to premiere on Voom TV’s Equator HD channel.
The service, which showcases the sights, sounds and series of interesting people and places around the world, will premiere later this year Natural Born Traveler, a four-episode series starring Australian world traveler Steve Crombie, who will look for adventure in his own country as he embarks on a 2,500-kilometer cross-country journey down the spine of Australia, from Mount Elephant to Dingo’s Knob.
Another series debuting this year, The Monkey Thieves chronicles the misadventures of an urbanized, unruly and lawless pack of urban monkeys living in Jaipur, India.
In 2009, Equator HD will welcome film and TV actor Mario Van Peebles to the network for a new series Mario’s Green House, in which the Ali and Posse star will oversee a major home eco-renovation as part of his desire to embrace green living, according to the network.
“These new productions reflect the quality and diversity of Equator HD’s programming, including thrilling adventure series and unscripted reality programs, which give viewers an up-close and personal view of life-changing experiences and adventures from around the world,” said Ali Hossaini, Executive Producer of Equator HD in a statement.
