Lifetime Movie Network’s March 30 premiere of The Capture of the Green River Killer arrested more viewers than any program in network history.
Lifetime’s maiden stab at the original miniseries genre pulled more than two million viewers, nearly doubling the 1.1 million viewers that tuned into a repeat airing of LMN’s original movie Murder on Pleasant Drive just two weeks ago (March 16).
In addition, the movie, which stars Tom Cavanagh, Sharon Lawrence and Amy Davidson, also delivered a record number of women in key 25-54 (658,000 viewers) and 18-49 (577,000) demographics.
“This powerful story, wonderfully acted, directed and produced, was the perfect fit for our first miniseries,” said Louise Henry Bryson, LMN executive vice president/general manager in a statement. “To hit these viewership heights along with delivering critical acclaim is another remarkable achievement in the growth of Lifetime Movie Network.”
