Logo said it will become the first gay-targeted TV network to deliver a high-definition feed, with the U.S. premiere of a Scissor Sisters concert from London in the enhanced format April 24.

Viacom’s network targeting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities will present Scissor Sisters: Live at the O2 Arena April 24 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on its own air, as well as on MHD, MTV Networks’ HD channel

Featuring several openly gay band members and a loyal and enthusiastic LGBT following, the Scissor Sisters are one of Logo’s most popular music performers, and are frequent hosts and guests on the network’s New NowNext Music show.

Scissor SistersScissor Sisters: Live at the O2 Arena
is an hour-long special of the Scissor Sisters live on the London stage performing their greatest hits in front of extravagant sets and in their trademark sparkling costumes.

The special, which will air on Logo’s digital cable channel and simulcast in HD on MHD, will also be viewable via streaming video at LOGOonline.com as well as through on-demand digital cable. The group's music videos are available on the net's Web site.

“HD lets gay people admire what we love most about live performances: every detail, every visual nuance and every of splash of color,” said Lisa Sherman, executive vice president and general manager, Logo. “We’re thrilled that the Scissor Sisters are making gay TV history on Logo.”
