Cybill Shepherd Gets ‘PSYCH’d
Golden Globe-Winning Actress Joins USA Network Series

Cybill Shepherd of Moonlighting, Cybill and The Last Picture Show fame will join the cast of USA Network’s drama-comedy PSYCH when the series returns for its third season in July, the network said Friday.
Shepherd will appear in a recurring role as “Madeleine,” the mother of “Shawn Spencer” (James Roday) and the ex-wife of “Henry Spencer” (Corbin Bernsen). “Madeleine” is a private psychologist who has also worked freelance over the years for the Santa Barbara Police Department.
“She is a free spirit who spent the last few years living abroad, and quite clearly the source of Shawn’s adventurous side and similar joie de vivre,” the network said in a statement. “She returns from Europe and shows up to visit Shawn and Henry, stirring up memories and issues%u2026and a bit of trouble.”
Created, written and executive produced by Steve Franks, PSYCH averaged 4.6 million viewers per episode and a 3.4 rating during its second season.
