TV One To Preview New Lineup During Primetime Special

Three-Hour Special Will Showcase Network’s Saturday Morning ‘Lifetime Zone’

By Larry Barrett -- Multichannel News, 5/6/2008 8:18:00 AM

TV One Tuesday announced it will preview its new Saturday morning ‘Lifetime Zone’ package during a primetime special scheduled to air Sunday, May 25.

The network said its beauty transformation series Makeover Manor will return with a new host, Essence Magazine Beauty Director and Cover Editor Mikki Taylor, a new styling team and new set. The weekly half-hour show will take one guest away for a day of pampering and primping from A-list professionals specializing in fashion, hair styling and health and nutrition.

The primetime special coverage kicks off with the third season premiere of TV One’s original church renovation series Divine Restoration with hosts Catherine Burdon and Jim Codrington at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the fourth season premiere of Living It Up with Patti LaBelle (pictured).

Makeover Manor follows at 8 p.m. ET, featuring a makeover of actress/comedienne Kym Whitley in the first half hour, followed by a transformation of a 32-year-old police officer and single mother.

At 9 p.m. ET, TV One will air a new one-hour special of G. Garvin: The Road Tour where the network’s in-house chef tours Grand Bahama, taking viewers to the hottest and most exotic shopping and night spots on the island.

The ‘Lifetime Zone’ officially debuts Saturday, May 31 at 9 a.m. ET.
