Ion Media Networks closed a deal for SES Americom’s IP-PRIME to deliver the broadcaster’s national suite of programming, including its flagship network, and its children and lifestyle channels, officials said Tuesday.
IP-PRIME is delivering Ion’s programming—Ion Television Network, qubo and Ion Life—as part of its turnkey IPTV solution that enables service providers to deliver digital television service to their subscribers.
“This deal with Ion Media Networks is the latest example of our commitment to ensuring that our IP-PRIME service provider customers have access to the broadest range of programming, so they can offer a truly compelling television experience that attracts and retains subscribers,” Bill Squadron, president of IP-PRIME, said in a prepared statement. “Adding Ion’s extensive programming line-up will help our customers expand their already successful IPTV deployments.”
