Cablevision Systems Corp. has added Music Choice's On Demand network to the roster of free on-demand programming that is available to its iO TV digital-cable customers.

With the rollout on Cablevision, Music Choice, which offers a diverse range of music videos from all of the top genres, as well as behind-the-scenes access to today's hottest artists through Music Choice Original programs, now reaches 35 million on-demand households, according to officials at the programmer.

Music Choice originals include such shows such as Artist of the Month, Fresh Crops, Tha Corner and Rock U, plus extensive video playlists

“Cablevision continues to enhance our award-winning digital-cable service by making more distinctive on demand content available for free to our iO TV customers,” said John Trierweiler, Cablevision's senior vice president of product management, in a statement. “Music and music videos are a popular programming category for customers of all ages, and we expect Music Choice On Demand will become a popular component of our Free On Demand library.”

Noted Music Choice senior vice president of distribution Rick Bergan: “Music Choice is excited to be added to Cablevision's robust On Demand offering. Our extensive, diverse video catalog and music-focused originals will offer Cablevision customers even more in the way of on-demand programming, and we look forward to serving up the videos and other music programming for iO TV customers.”
