Operator’s Business Unit Making Sales Calls With Telecom Supplier

NEW ORLEANS -- Cox Business will be making sales calls in partnership with telecom equipment supplier Nortel Networks.

As part of a multiyear agreement, Nortel sales reps will engage Cox Business’ customer prospects and design and sell voice, data and equipment solutions in some of the operator’s service areas.

Nortel also will install equipment -- such as its Business Communications Manager hybrid IP-based private branch exchange -- and provide technical support.

"By teaming with Nortel, Cox Business can serve as a trusted provider for equipment solutions that directly complement the core communications services we offer today," Cox Business vice president of product development and management Kristine Faulkner said in a statement.

Cox Business provides communications services to 240,000 business customers in 18 markets.
