Lifetime has enlisted the two presumptive presidential nominees, Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama, to film promotional spots for the upcoming debut of Season Two of Army Wives.
In the spots, McCain confesses that his wife, Cindy, makes him watch the series, adding he's looking forward to season two; and Obama notes the series "tells a story that's being lived by families across the country."
Both direct viewers to myLifetime.com to learn how they can get involved in efforts to support military families.
The network is partnering with several non-profit organizations that provide aid to those families, such as Operation Homefront, the Association of the United States Army Families Program, Military Officers Association of America, National Military Family Association, Strategic Outreach to Families of All Reservists and the USO.
The series' second season debuts June 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
