Time Warner Cable Friday named Gary Matz as its new senior vice president of government relations.
In his new role, Matz will oversee Time Warner Cable’s state-level legislative and regulatory strategies, company officials said.
“Gary has tremendous expertise managing the myriad legislative and regulatory issues we deal with daily at Time Warner Cable,” Gail MacKinnon, TWC’s executive vice president and chief government relations officer, said in a statement. “I’m delighted we will have the benefit of Gary’s wealth of experience and knowledge in our public policy office.”
Matz, who first joined the cabler in 1988 as director of government relations for the Central region, most recently served as group vice president and chief counsel for regulatory affairs.
