Ovation TV is launching a new weekly original music series, taking viewers on the road to see some of the hottest bands and artists touring U.S. this summer, network officials said Monday.

Bonefish Grill’s Notes From The Road will feature bands and artists including 3 Doors Down, Josh Kelley, Gavin DeGraw, Vanessa Carlton, Ben Folds, Jason Mraz and Matisyahu.

The one-hour series premieres Thursday, August 7 at 8 p.m. ET with a show featuring live performances and candid conversations with The Bravery (pictured), a popular New York-based band touring this summer.

Network officials said thee series will give viewers a rare glimpse of life on the road for the musicians, with behind-the-scenes footage and candid conversations. Each hour-long episode is shot on location at a Bonefish Grill location and is imprinted with the guest artist’s personality, viewpoint, experiences and music.

“Music has always been an essential part of the atmosphere at our restaurants,” John Cooper, president of Bonefish Grill, said in a statement. “So it was natural for us host this concert series.”

Beginning in September, XM Radio will broadcast each episode on a variety of its music channels, including Flight 26 (XM 26), Ethel (XM 47) and Starbucks XM Café (XM 45).

The series will also include a weekly vignette dedicated to the Ocean Trust, an award-winning ocean conservation foundation that is building science, conservation and industry partnerships for the sustainability of the oceans and providing a link to sustainable fisheries, wildlife and the environment.

Veteran music television producer Larry Klein is executive producing the series.
