ION Adds Station Affiliate in Dayton

Deal Brings Net to Nation’s 62nd-Largest TV Market

ION Television Thursday announced it has reached a station affiliation agreement with WRCX-TV in Dayton, Ohio, the nation’s 62nd-largest TV market with more than 511,000 television households.

WRCX-TV is currently carried in the Dayton area by Time Warner Cable on Channel 22. Over-the-air viewers can receive the station on Channel 40.

“We are delighted to announce our new affiliation with WRCX-TV, and pleased that we will be extending our programming lineup to the Dayton market,” Steve Friedman, ION’s president of network distribution, said in a statement. “This affiliation reinforces ION Television’s commitment to growth and to offering viewers the very best in general entertainment and special interest programming.” 

ION Television’s daily programming lineup includes popular shows like ER, The Dead Zone, The Drew Carey Show, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, The Steve Harvey Show, Family Feud and Quantum Leap as well as RHI Entertainment award-winning movies and original miniseries, such as Lonesome Dove and Journey to the Center of the Earth. The network has announced exciting additions to its fall lineup, including Boston Legal and M*A*S*H. http://www.multichannel.com/article/CA6556739.html
