GolTV’s exclusive coverage of the Bundesliga’s 2008-09 season begins this week with a live telecast of the match between German soccer rivals Bayern Munich and Hamburger SV on Friday, Aug. 15 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
The action continues Saturday with games between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Dortumund at 9:30 a.m. ET and another pitting FC Schalke 04 vs. Hannover 96 at 11 a.m. ET. On Sunday, Borussia Monchengladbach takes on VfB Stuttgart at 11 a.m. ET.
The all-soccer network earlier this month was dropped by Dish Network in contract dispute that also resulted in the DBS dropping four Midwestern TV stations owned by Citadel Communications from its lineup.
“Fans all over the world are eagerly anticipating the season opener of Bundesliga, one of Europe’s top leagues with international stars like Luca Toni, Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose,” Enzo Francescoli, GolTV’s CEO, said in a statement. “Only GolTV delivers the best action from Germany, honoring our commitment to deliver unmatched international soccer coverage directly to fans in North America.”
GolTV viewers can also feed their need for Bundesliga coverage with Desmond Squire, host of Bundesliga Magazine every Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET, which premieres on Aug. 15. Squire goes one-on-one with the league’s top soccer stars and delivers news, analysis and highlights throughout the season.
In addition, fans of Germany’s premier league can tune into Hallo Bundesliga every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET beginning Aug. 19, which features in-depth analysis and highlights from each weekend of Germany’s Bundesliga action.

I'm disappointed to see that there is no Saturday live game on Gol.TV anymore, not even the top game Bayern-Werder this upcoming weekend. Has anybody heard a statement from gol.tv on this? I hope this will change again in the near future.

This really stinks--no Gol TV on Dish Network. I had watched Bundesliga action on Gol TV the last two seasons and to have it taken out from under us Dish Network subscribers.
