DIY Network will be every wannabe handyman’s best friend next month when it airs 100 Skills Everyone Should Know, a weekend marathon of how-to programs that will include tips and advice for a variety of home improvement projects and tasks.

Timed to coincide with Popular Mechanics’ special October issues titled “100 Skills Every Man Should Know,” the marathon, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21, will feature self-proclaimed tool junkie and Cool Tools host Chris Gundy (pictured) as he guides viewers through select episodes of the network’s most-watched series.

Popular Mechanics has long been a staple in the homes of DIY Network viewers,” Kathleen Finch, DIY’s general manager, said in a statement. “The magazine’s special ‘100 Skills’ issueis chock-full of useful tips and tools that will be helpful to the DIY novice as well as the how-to expert.”

Every episode features tips on a wide range of home improvement projects such as roof repair, installing an outdoor home theater, and transforming “America’s Most Desperate Landscape” into every homeowner’s dream property.

As part of the partnership, DIY Network experts will be featured in Popular Mechanics’ “100 Skills” issue hitting newsstands Tuesday, Sept. 9.
