Comcast’s Houston system has added 18 new Spanish-language selections to its channel lineup, a move that raises the amount of content available to Hispanic consumers to 50 broadcast and cable channels.
The new editions to the system’s Canales Selecto digital package include Caracol, BC TU TV Michoacan, Cine Latino, Ecuvisa, HITN, Infinito, Mexico Canal 22, Sur, TBN Enlace, Teleritmo, TV Columbia, TV Venezuela, TVE International, Utilisima, Venemovies and WAPA America. New additions to broadcast basic include KHLM-TV and KVQT-TV.
The system has made several enhancements to its services targeting the Hispanic marketplace since the market transitioned from Time Warner Cable ownership. The system now offers 140 hours of free, on-demand programming in Spanish; provides a specialized Internet portal, Comcast Latino, for high-speed data customers; and sells telephone services with attractive plans for calls to Mexico.
