GolTV Comes to Cox Systems in Oklahoma

GolTV, the bilingual international soccer channel, launched Wednesday on Cox Communications systems in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Subscribers to Cox’s Paquete Latino Hispanic tier can now tune in games from the around the world on Channel 471.
“Cox subscribers scored GolTV just in time to dive into the 2008-09 soccer season,” Christine Martin, Cox’s director of communications, said in a statement. “The network has a lineup jam-packed with exclusive live matches, in-depth news and analysis, and exciting original programs. Consistently a favorite among soccer fans, GolTV will undoubtedly strengthen our popular Paquete Latino offering.”
The Cox launch comes just one day before GolTV premieres two new series, Soccer Cam at 8 p.m. ET and Football’s Hidden Story at 8:30 p.m. ET. In addition, the 2010 World Cup qualifying matches for Germany, Spain and Italy also kick off this month.
“The international soccer season is heating up, and GolTV is committed to providing our viewers with the most comprehensive global soccer coverage on TV,” Rodrigo Lombello, COO of GolTV, said in a statement. “We just kicked off Germany’s Bundesliga and Spain’s La Liga, and now Cox subscribers can follow these two world-renown leagues on GolTV all season long.”
GolTV, founded in 2003, offers international soccer matches 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
