By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News, 9/8/2008 9:31:00 AM

Miniweb, a British startup developing targeted advertising and interactive TV solutions, announced $32 million of venture capital investment.

The funding came from Denver-based Meritage Funds and DeGeorge Holdings III, in Nevada. Miniweb said it will use the funds to expand internationally.

Miniweb was formed via a management buyout of BSkyB by Ian Valentine, Miniweb's chief architect.

Its products provide access to personalized broadcast and broadband entertainment content. The company claims its platform currently provides interactive TV capabilities to 9 million homes through BSkyB.
