The channel will be honored along with writer/actor Carl Reiner at the event, scheduled for Dec. 11 in Los Angeles.

Pat Mitchell, the president and chief executive of the center, said "Showtime under the direction of Matthew Blank and Robert Greenblatt continues to push premium networks in new directions by presenting daring programming and innovative entertainment."

Reiner is known for his creative vision behind as well as in front of the camera, she added. Noted for his "savvy business acumen" as an executive, Reiner continues to be one of the most respected talents in the industry. she said.

The two join a list that includes Julie Andrews, newsman Tom Brokaw, Reiner contemporary Sid Caesar, the cast and crew of Everybody Loves Raymond, executive Peter Chernin, the Sony Corp. and a host of others.
