USA Promotes de Crinis to EVP of Original Scripted Programming

Will Supervise Development of Net's Current and Future Series

By Larry Barrett -- Multichannel News, 9/11/2008 6:19:00 AM

USA Networks promoted Jackie de Crinis to executive vice president of original scripted programming where she’ll oversee the development of the network’s current and future original series.

She previously served as senior vice president of original scripted series, a role she’s held since 2000.

“Jackie is a bright, sophisticated creative executive with a great eye for material and incredible relationships in the community,” Jeff Wachtel, USA Network’s executive vice president of original programming, said in a statement. “She's been a key part of the great run of success we've enjoyed at USA. This promotion is much deserved.”

Network officials said de Crinis, formerly Jackie Lyons, has been “an integral part of the USA development team that’s responsible for much of the network’s consistent ratings dominance.” Series such as Monk, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight and Law and Order: Criminal Intent have boosted USA to the top spot among cable networks.

de Crinis also led the team in overseeing the development of two new and highly-rated series—The Dead Zone and The 4400—which at the time was the highest-rated and most-watched original series premiere ever on a basic cable network.

A television veteran of 22 years, de Crinis was named one of Multichannel News magazine's 2008 Wonder Women.
