Outdoor Channel Extends DirecTV Carriage Deal

Network Inks Multiyear Renewal

Outdoor Channel Holdings has reached a multiyear renewal of its carriage pact with DirecTV.

Deal terms were not disclosed. Outdoor Channel has been available on the satellite leader’s Sports Pack and on a la carte basis on channel 606.

“This renewal is part of our effort to renew all of Outdoor Channel’s affiliation agreements with a new rate card that includes strong incentives for broader carriage,” said Randy Brown, senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing of Outdoor Channel, in a statement. “DirecTV has been a valued partner since 2002, and we are pleased to continue our partnership to provide the best in hunting, fishing and other outdoor-related programming to viewers across the country.”

Added DirecTV vice president: of program acquisition Reagan Feeney:  “We are happy to renew our deal with Outdoor Channel and continue to provide its quality programming to our customers.”
