Hallmark Renews Carriage Deal With Charter

Pact Marks Latest Renewal Pact With Top Distributors

Crown Media Holdings has renewed its distribution agreement for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel with Charter Communications. 

The deal marks the latest in a series of distribution agreements and renewals for Crown Media, which owns and operates the two cable channels. In the past year it has done deals with a number of  key distributors: Cox Communications, Cablevision Systems, Time Warner, DirecTV and Comcast.  

“Charter has been a terrific partner in helping us grow our distribution to 85 million homes,” Crown Media president and CEO Henry Schleiff said in a statement. “This milestone completes the renewal of agreements with our major distributors and has resulted in multi-year deals for Hallmark Channel, a Top 10 network, ensuring our future distribution as America’s leading cable provider of family friendly programming.”
