Jane Tranter was named executive vice president, programming and production at BBC Worldwide in Los Agneles. She had been controller, BBC Fiction, at BBC public service in the United Kingdom.
Charter
St. Louis-based MSO Charter Communications has added Matt Derdeyn as vice president, corporate finance. He comes from Mediacom Communications in Middletown, N.Y., where he was corporate treasurer.
Global Crossing
John Kritzmacher has joined Florham Park, N.J.-based Internet-protocol-based telecom provider Global Crossing as executive vice president, chief financial officer. He comes from Alcatel-Lucent, where he was chief operating officer of the business services group.

Online news provider Global News Enterprises has added James Bandera as vice president, director of sales. He comes from Boston magazine, where he was advertising director.

Multiplatform IP services and content-distribution provider Highwinds Network Group has tapped Brian Bedol for its board of directors. He is a cable veteran and the co-founder of CSTV (now CBS College Sports) and Classic Sports Network (now ESPN Classic).

Santa Monica, Calif.-based original music supplier Immediate Music has named David Noble director, sales and licensing. He had been director, client services at Music Box in New York.
MLB Network
Robert McGlarry was named senior vice president, programming and business affairs at MLB Network. He had been VP, broadcasting business affairs at Major League Baseball.
MTVNI
Antonio Campo Dall’Orto was named executive vice president, music brands at MTV Networks International, based in Milan. He will retain his current role as managing director, Europe South.
NBA Digital
NBA Digital has named John Cook as Atlanta-based coordinating producer of the NBA TV cable network. He comes from FSN South and SportSouth, Atlanta, where he oversaw operations.
Also, Mike Miller was named NBA TV’s coordinating director. Miller had been director of sports remote and studio for FSN South and SportSouth.
Nickelodeon
David Bergantino was named vice president, premium games production at the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group in San Francicso. He had been head of game design at Scotland-based Visual Science.
Also, Shaan Kandawalla was promoted to vice president, retail and licensed games. She had been director, digital games.
And Pete Banks was named vice president, engineering.
Qualcomm
Qualcomm has promoted Derek Aberle to executive vice president and president of Qualcomm Technology Licensing. He was senior VP and general manager.
QVC
Home-shopping channel QVC has promoted Angie Simmons to executive vice president of multichannel platforms. She had formerly served as senior vice president of broadcasting and TV sales.
REVShare
Sid Gregory was named chief technology officer at cost-per-action television-advertising network REVShare. He comes from OpenTV, where he was vice president for special projects, worldwide engineering and responsible for the Advanced Advertising line.
RooftopComedy
Internet comedy channel RooftopComedy has added Colin Decker as head of programming,. He comes from cable network Current TV, where he was executive producer and creative director.
Also, Jennifer Manger has joined RooftopComedy as senior director, sponsorship and advertising sales. She was director, online advertising sales at eHarmony.com.
Science Channel
Roger Henry was tapped as vice president, programming and development at Silver Spring, Md.-based Science Channel. He had been VP, programming for Discovery Health Media.

Strategic branding firm Siegel & Gale has added Thomas Mueller as global director of its new Dynamic Media Practice. He comes from Martha Stewart Omnimedia, where he was VP, creative director.

Dwight Caines was promoted to president, worldwide digital marketing, at Sony Pictures Entertainment. He had been strategic planner and lead creative executive for the Hollywood studio.

Video-advertising network Tremor Media has appointed Christian Baudis as head of its European business. He comes from Google, where he headed operations in Germany.

Jessica Ecker was named director, development of the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. She comes from the Greater New York Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, where she was director, development.

Rich-media ad network VideoEgg has added Paps Shaikh as London-based European managing director. He had been VP, advertising at AdJug.
