Africa Channel Gains Berth On BendBroadband
Indie Network Debuted In Central Oregon Communities On Oct. 10

The Africa Channel launched in Central Oregon on BendBroadband’s Variety Tier on Oct. 10, on channel 165.
“BendBroadband is on the lookout for programming that addresses the diverse interests of our customers,” BendBroadband CEO Amy Tykeson said in a release. “The Africa Channel provides unique and important content that will highlight the challenges, changes and beauty of Africa.”
The Africa Channel features programming that spans news and information, travel and lifestyle, music, soap operas, talk shows, reality, feature films and special events.
The three-year-old programming service has gotten some key Time Warner Cable launches, namely in Los Angeles in July and New York City last month. It also was recently profiled in The Christian Science Monitor.
