TV Tech Firm Clearleap Adds Trio

Steinberg, Young, Berger Join Startup Developing Video Infrastructure

By Kent Gibbons -- Multichannel News, 10/14/2008 7:59:00 AM

Clearleap, a television technology startup firm, said it’s hired three executives who recently worked at AOL, Pathfire and Navic Networks.

Adrienne Steinberg is now vice president of business development, while Rick Young is vice president of products and services and Gabriel Berger vice president of sales. Each has extensive media technology experience.

“They each have a solid history of developing valuable relationships and furthering the goals of their previous companies,” said Clearleap CEO Braxton Jarratt, formerly of Tandberg Television, N2 Broadband and Cox Enterprises. “We plan to translate their individual areas of expertise into rapid, successful growth for Clearleap.”

Steinberg was vice president of strategic partnerships for AOL. Young was vice president of product management at Pathfire, a digital content distribution and management provider. Berger was vice president of sales at Navic Networks, the ITV and advanced advertising solutions company recently acquired by Microsoft for $230 million. Before that he was vice president of business development at Gotuit Media

Atlanta-based Clearleap, founded in 2007, has said it is developing a networked platform to provide a TV experience with unprecedented choice, immediacy and relevance, including importing Internet video onto television with high quality.

In March, Clearleap obtained $9 million in first-round venture capital funding led by Trinity Ventures of Menlo Park, Calif., and Noro-Moseley Partners of Atlanta.
