TVG Saddles Up For Breeders’ Cup Weekend

Horse Racing Network Plots Programming for Thoroughbred Championships

TVG will wrap up its weeklong coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships this weekend with special editions of its Blinkers Off  and Pick 6 Central shows breaking down the races comprising horse racing’s equivalent to the Super Bowl.

CurlinThroughout the past week, TVG has aired five special editions of its The Works show focusing on the key contenders in each of the Breeders’ Cup races that will be run Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.

On Friday, Oct. 24, TVG will air its Breeders’ Cup Handicapping Preview from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. It will also telecast a special edition of Blinkers Off on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 12 p.m. ET. Pick 6 Central will be shown at 12:30 p.m. ET and then TVG will close out its special coverage with Breeders’ Cup Wrap Up at 7 p.m. ET.

TVG, a Breeders’ Cup sponsor since 2005, is the title sponsor of this year’s $1 million TVG Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 3 p.m. ET.  In its 25th year, the Breeders’ Cup main-track races will be run on a synthetic Polytrack surface for the first time in the championships’ history at the Oak Tree at Santa Anita racetrack.

ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will have nine-plus hours of live coverage of all the Breeders’ Cup races this weekend, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET, Friday, Oct. 24.
